Our Oud Extraction Process
Our process for extracting Oud oil includes preparing and fermenting agarwood chips, distilling the resin to extract the essential oils, and carefully collecting and preserving the final product to ensure its quality and fragrance.
Raw Material Preparation
Collect and clean agarwood (Oud) chips. Sort and grade based on resin content for quality as this impacts the oil quality.
Soaking and Fermentation
Immerse the wood chips in water and allow them to ferment for several days or weeks to break down the wood and release the resin.
Distillation Setup and Controlled Heating
Place the soaked wood in a sealed distillation chamber connected to a cooling system, heat it with a controlled source to produce steam that carries water and essential oils into the condenser.
Condensation and Oil-Water Separation
Cool the steam in the condenser to convert it into a liquid, which then flows into a separator where the essential oil is separated from the water based on density differences.
Oil Collection and Filtration
Carefully collect the Oud oil, then filter it to remove impurities for a cleaner product, and store it in glass bottles.
Storage and Preservation
Store the oil in a cool place to maintain its quality and fragrance.
